Health Professions CTE Programs

We partner with Idaho secondary schools to help them launch or expand career technical education (CTE) health professions programs.

Idaho has a severe shortage of healthcare workers. It is a complex problem that will require a variety of solutions.

One of those solutions is getting Idaho high school students interested in health professions. The Idaho Division of Career & Technical Education offers accredited health professions programs in certified nursing assistant, dental assisting, rehabilitation services, emergency medical technician, pharmacy technician and medical assisting.

The Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health has helped more than 25 schools either launch or expand their health professions CTE programs to give students the opportunity to learn skills needed for these in-demand careers.
