Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health Chairman Mike Reynoldson announced that Courtney Frost will serve as the new Executive Director of the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health (the Foundation). Frost will assume the role beginning April 14.
Frost began her career with the Foundation in 2015, and she was promoted from a senior program officer role to replace Dr. Kendra Witt-Doyle, who is leaving the company after 18-plus years to launch her own business. Frost helped create, develop and improve programs such as Community Health Academy, The Community Project, Mayor’s Walking Challenge, and the Community Health Champion Award that have benefited communities across Idaho.
“I am honored and excited to continue the Foundation’s important work to help build a healthier Idaho,” Frost said. “Our programs and grant funding have helped improve the lives of many Idahoans, and I look forward to leading this organization and addressing the root causes that impact health in communities across the state.”
Frost was selected for the role after an extensive search. She will oversee the Foundation’s operations and its staff, strengthening its focus areas of community, education and healthcare.
“Courtney has a deep commitment to build a healthier Idaho, and she made that evident throughout the search process,” Reynoldson said. “It was clear to the Board that her passion and experience made her the ideal candidate for this role. This is a well-deserved promotion, and our board is excited about Courtney leading our current strategy and her vision and ideas for the future.”
“Over the past decade, Courtney has engaged with multiple communities across Idaho, working with mayors and city leadership on local projects and working to address the root causes that impact health,” Blue Cross of Idaho President and CEO Paul Zurlo said. “We’re excited to see Courtney continue to lead these critical philanthropic efforts as the Foundation continues to build lasting solutions that address health issues across Idaho.”
Frost earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Eastern Washington University and holds a master’s certificate in nonprofit administration from Boise State University. She has been honored by the Women and Children’s Alliance as a TWIN Award recipient and was a 2024 fellow of the Terrance Keenan Institute for Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy. Frost also is a member of the Idaho Botanical Gardens Board of Directors.
