The Employee Community Giving Fund is a health focused charitable effort powered by the Blue Cross of Idaho employees. The Fund, which consists of dollars donated by Blue Cross of Idaho employees and equivalent matching contribution by the company, was formed to give back and create a healthy Idaho. We’ve had a wonderful time enriching the lives of those who are in need.

Sacajawea Elementary School – It was wonderful to join the Caldwell mayor, United Way, and other community leaders at the Sacajawea Elementary School to award a $10,000 grant to be used for a new playground.

Valley Ride – The Employee Community Fund awarded $20,000 to Valley Regional Transit to help integrate digital scheduling software into their Rides 2 Wellness program which is a healthcare access transportation program that helps patients get to their medical appointments and receive treatment.

Hope Lane – We were thrilled to donate funds to help build a new playground for the kids at the Hope Lane Learning Center — part of the Advocates Against Domestic Violence. The center plans to use the donation to build a new jungle gym, a pathway around the playground and landscaping.
